Mutual fund distributor in Bangalore

Rytvae Consulting is an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor based in Banashankari, Bengaluru. We handle onboarding, KYC, SIP registration, switches and consolidated reporting across 21 asset management companies — and we tell you plainly what that costs you.

What a distributor is, and what a distributor is not

The distinction matters more than most websites admit, so here it is first.

A mutual fund distributor is registered with AMFI and facilitates your transactions. We are paid a trail commission by the asset management company, taken out of the scheme’s expense ratio. You pay us nothing directly. A SEBI-registered Investment Adviser charges you a fee and owes you a fiduciary duty on advice. Rytvae is the former, not the latter. Anything we explain about suitability is incidental to distribution.

If you want fee-only advice with no product commission anywhere in the chain, you should engage a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser, and we will say so on the call rather than after it.

Regular plan or direct plan — the honest arithmetic

A direct plan carries a lower expense ratio because no commission is embedded in it. On a diversified equity fund the gap is typically 0.5–1.0 percentage points a year. Over twenty years on a ₹20,000 monthly SIP that difference is not trivial — it can run into several lakhs.

So the question is not whether direct is cheaper. It is. The question is whether the service attached to a regular plan prevents a mistake that costs more than the gap. The two mistakes that reliably do are stopping an SIP in a falling market and holding an allocation you never rebalance. AMFI’s own data shows the SIP stoppage ratio crossing 100% in stressed months — more accounts closing than opening, at exactly the wrong time.

If you are disciplined enough to never do either, direct plans are the rational choice and you do not need us. If you have stopped an SIP before, the arithmetic changes. Read what the SIP stoppage ratio actually tells us and decide for yourself.

What we handle

KYC & onboarding

First-time KYC, re-KYC, nomination and bank mandate registration — the paperwork that stops most people before they start.

SIP execution

SIP, step-up SIP, STP and SWP registration across AMCs, with mandates set so instalments do not bounce.

Portfolio consolidation

Scattered folios across five AMCs pulled into one consolidated view, with a single statement you can actually read.

Rebalancing support

A written allocation with a rebalancing trigger, and the switches executed when the trigger is hit rather than when the news is loud.

Capital gains reporting

Realised gain statements at filing time, split short and long term, so your return is not guesswork. See the current capital gains rules.

Transmission & nomination

The part nobody plans for. Nominations recorded correctly now, and transmission handled for the family if it is ever needed.

Your money never touches us

Money moves from your bank account to the AMC. Units sit in your name with CAMS or KFintech. A distributor never takes custody of client funds, and there is no legitimate reason for one to ask.

Never write a cheque to a distributor, never transfer to a distributor’s personal or firm account, and never invest on the promise of a guaranteed return. If you have been approached with any of these, here is how to recognise it and where to complain.

Moving existing folios across

Units you already hold can be brought under our ARN with a change-of-broker request to the registrar. Nothing is redeemed. Your purchase dates, holding period and capital gains history stay exactly as they are — no tax event, no exit load, no reset of the long-term clock.

Frequently asked questions

What does a mutual fund distributor do?

Facilitates transactions — KYC, execution, SIP registration, switches, redemptions and reporting — and is paid a trail commission by the AMC out of the scheme expense ratio, not by you.

What is the difference between a regular plan and a direct plan?

Direct has a lower expense ratio and no distributor. Regular costs roughly 0.5–1.0% more a year and includes service. Whether that is worth paying depends on whether the service prevents a costlier mistake.

Do you charge me a fee?

No. We are paid trail commission by the asset management company, disclosed scheme-wise. You pay us nothing directly.

Is my money held by the distributor?

Never. Money goes from your bank to the AMC; units are held in your name with the registrar.

How do I switch my existing folios to Rytvae?

A change-of-broker request with the registrar. Nothing is redeemed, so there is no tax event and no exit load.

Are you a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser?

No. Rytvae is an AMFI-registered mutual fund distributor (ARN-265474). For fee-only advice, approach a SEBI-registered Investment Adviser.
