How this works
Gold loans are flexible about repayment. A bullet loan asks for nothing until the end; an EMI loan repays principal as you go, so it costs the least interest.
Paying interest monthly keeps the loan from growing and avoids it crossing the LTV limit if gold prices fall.
Frequently asked questions
Which option is cheapest?
EMI, because principal falls every month. Bullet and monthly-interest loans keep the full amount outstanding until the end.
What if gold prices fall?
If the loan breaches the LTV limit, the lender can ask you to top up gold or pay part of the loan.
