How this works
Converting a large purchase to EMIs is usually far cheaper than carrying it as a revolving balance — but the processing fee and GST mean the true rate is higher than the quoted one.
A "no-cost" EMI typically gives back the interest as a discount; GST on that interest and the processing fee still apply.
Frequently asked questions
Does EMI conversion block my credit limit?
Usually the converted amount stays blocked from your limit and is released as EMIs are paid.
Can I close it early?
Most issuers allow it, sometimes with a foreclosure charge. Check the terms.
